Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, once known for their close friendship, have reportedly not spoken since late 2024 amid the ongoing fallout from Lively’s legal battle with actor and director Justin Baldoni.
Despite online rumours suggesting a quiet reunion, sources tell Page Six that the pair have had “no contact.”
Insiders revealed that the friendship began to deteriorate following Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, which alleged sexual harassment and breach of contract. In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit in early 2025, accusing Lively of extortion and defamation.
The dispute became public when messages surfaced in which Lively referred to her husband Ryan Reynolds and Swift as her “dragons,” a remark that reportedly upset the singer.
A source told media outlets that Swift felt “used” by the situation, adding that she values authenticity in her relationships and was disappointed to be drawn into legal controversy.
Another insider later claimed that Swift was “furious” about being mentioned in connection with the case, feeling that her friendship had been leveraged for influence.
Court documents later indicated that Swift was named for a potential deposition, though her legal team clarified that she had not agreed to testify. In June, Baldoni’s countersuit was dismissed, but Lively’s original case remains active.
Swift has since focused on promoting her latest album The Life of A Showgirl, released on October 3, while also supporting her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, at recent games.
