Snoop Dogg is turning his animated children’s series Doggyland into a platform for teaching kindness and acceptance.

The rapper has teamed up with GLAAD to support Spirit Day, an initiative that stands against bullying of LGBTQ+ youth. As part of the campaign, Snoop sat down with singer Jeremy Beloate, a former contestant from The Voice and member of the LGBTQ+ community, to discuss their new collaboration, Love Is Love, featured in Doggyland.

In the conversation, Snoop reflected on the importance of showing children that families come in all forms.

“It’s a beautiful thing that kids can have parents of all walks and be shown love,” he said. “Whether it’s two fathers, two mothers, love is the key.”

The new Doggyland song celebrates diversity, with animated pups singing about families that may look different but share the same bond. “Our parents are different, no two are the same,” the lyrics say. “But the one thing that’s for certain is the love won’t change.”

Snoop voices the character Bow Wizzle in the show, while Beloate voices Zippy, who joins the other pups to sing the song.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about love, that’s what we’re teachin’ the kids,” Snoop said. “Partnering with GLAAD for Spirit Day just felt right, because spreading love and respect for everybody is what real gangstas do. Inclusion is powerful, and love always wins.”

The collaboration also comes months after Snoop’s earlier comments about Pixar’s Lightyear, where he expressed confusion over the film’s depiction of a same-sex couple.

Now, the rapper says Doggyland aims to help children understand love and family through “song, dance, and melody” in a way that’s positive and age-appropriate.

“This music is a bridge for understanding,” Snoop said. “Hopefully, we can help answer the questions kids have and teach them that love is love.”
