HYDERABAD:

Tension gripped the Hyderabad Development Authority's (HDA) Planning and Development Control (P&DC) Department on Thursday after staff members allegedly misbehaved with a visiting lawyer and physically forced him out of the office.

According to eyewitness accounts, the lawyer had arrived at the P&DC office at the Civic Center around 4 p.m. to seek information regarding a plot in the Gulistan-e-Sarmast Housing Scheme. Upon learning that the director was present, he proceeded to the Superintendent's office to discuss his file. Shortly thereafter, several HDA staffers entered the room and began misbehaving with him.

One employee allegedly kicked the lawyer's chair. The visiting lawyer was forced outside the premises amid loud commotion. Asghar Memon did not intervene in the incident.
