KARACHI:

In view of the rising cases of dengue, malaria, and chikungunya across the city, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has launched a two-day fumigation programme at its hospitals on October 17 and 18, 2025, under the directions of Municipal Commissioner SM Afzal Zaidi.

According to the Department of Municipal Services, 15 spray vehicles will carry out fumigation during evening hours, with each vehicle covering one hospital per day.

The drive will include major KMC-run hospitals such as Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases.
