Dylan Efron delivered an emotional performance on Dancing With the Stars’ Dedication Night, paying tribute to both his older brother, actor Zac Efron, and his five-year-old sister, Olivia.

The 33-year-old content creator and his professional partner Daniella Karagach performed a contemporary dance to “Rewrite the Stars,” originally sung by Zac Efron and Zendaya in The Greatest Showman.

Before the routine, Dylan explained that the performance was dedicated to Olivia, who joined rehearsals ahead of the live show. “I wasn’t expecting to be a big brother. She’s five, and I’m 33. But immediately I was inseparable from her. She’s everything to me. I want to show her to live her life with confidence,” he said.

Dylan also acknowledged Zac’s influence, saying his older brother had “always taken care of me and he did things that were so selfless, I want to be that to Olivia.”

The touching performance featured Dylan carrying Olivia into the ballroom before transitioning into an athletic sequence with Karagach. As the dance ended, Olivia ran back on stage to hug her brother, earning a standing ovation from the audience.

Judge Bruno Tonioli called Dylan “the next greatest showman,” praising his lift and overall improvement. Carrie Ann Inaba said she “felt that story to the bottom of my soul,” while Derek Hough joked, “You’re a great guy, you’re in shape, you can dance, and you’re a great brother? Come on man!”

The performance scored 36 points, a season high, following Robert Irwin’s emotional tribute to his mother earlier in the night.

Dylan later shared on Instagram, “Please welcome the newest member of Team DaDy, my lil sister Olivia. She’s quickly become 2nd best dancer on the team and by far the cutest.”

Dancing With the Stars airs Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
