Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has achieved a new milestone at the US box office, becoming the highest-grossing anime film in North American history.
The film, officially titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, is the first in a trilogy that marks the dramatic conclusion to the Demon Slayer series.
The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is killed by demons. His mission becomes complicated when his sister Nezuko is turned into one herself.
Zach Aguilar returns to voice Tanjiro in the English dub, joined by Channing Tatum as new character Keizo. The film opened strongly in US cinemas, maintaining impressive performance through its second weekend.
As of October 13, the North American total for Infinity Castle stands at nearly $128.6 million, with a global box office reaching $648 million.
The achievement makes it the highest-grossing non-English international film of all time in the domestic market, surpassing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), which previously held the title.
It also surpasses other major anime titles, including Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Your Name, Spirited Away, and Suzume, to become the highest-grossing anime film in North America.
The film opened with an estimated $70 million in its first weekend, setting the record for the biggest-ever US opening for an anime film, breaking the previous record held by Pokémon: The First Movie since 1999.
Following strong box office results in Japan, Infinity Castle continues its international success. With its current earnings, the film ranks fifth among the highest-grossing films of 2025 worldwide.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is currently showing in cinemas across North America.
