TikToker Emily Davis’ Arby’s Steak Nuggets review goes viral

The fast-food chain introduced its new Steak Nuggets in early October, marketing them as juicy, hand-cut pieces of steak seasoned with garlic and pepper.
But online feedback quickly shifted the conversation after a TikTok review describing the product in unflattering terms gained widespread attention.
TikToker Emily Davis posted a video questioning the praise for the new menu item.
“Why did y’all lie about the Arby’s Steak Bites?” she said. “That looks like burnt dog food… yeah, that’s what it tastes like too.” Davis compared the texture to “wet and weird beef jerky” before adding, “That ain’t steak.”

Her review drew thousands of comments, with many users sharing their own opinions. Some described the nuggets as both “dry and soggy,” while others claiming to be Arby’s employees suggested the texture could come from ground meat and binders.
Reactions on Reddit were also divided. One user said the flavor reminded them of “dried chunks of brisket,” while another noted they appreciated the chain’s attempt to try something new.
An Arby’s spokesperson said the Steak Nuggets had been tested locally in May and received strong feedback, prompting a nationwide rollout.
Following the viral TikTok discussion, responses remain mixed as social media users continue to debate whether the new item lives up to its name.
