Sophie Grégoire Trudeau has shared a reflective message on love and letting go, shortly after her ex-husband, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, made headlines for his rumored relationship with Katy Perry.
In a recent Instagram video, she spoke about the impermanence of relationships, saying, “The people, the places, even the moments that once felt infinite, time asks us not to cling to them, and yet we do. Love was never about possession. It was always about presence.”
The post followed new photos of Justin and Perry that circulated online. While Sophie did not reference them directly, she reflected on how love and grief can coexist, noting that grief “lives there” and forms part of the lesson.
Sophie and Justin announced their separation in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage and have continued to co-parent their three children.
She has since spoken publicly about the challenges of separation, emphasizing self-awareness and emotional growth. Her recent post echoed similar themes of acceptance and mindfulness without addressing any ongoing speculation.
