7 women injured in roof collapse

Seven women were injured when the roof of a house collapsed during an

Urs ceremony on the rooftop.

According to sources, a Qawwali programme was organised in a house in Chak No. 598 GB.

Several women were watching the performance from the roof of a nearby house when it collapsed due to weak structure.

The roof was old and couldn't bear the weight. As a result, seven women were injured, including Rubina, 45, Shazia, 40, Irshad Bibi, 60, Khurshid Bibi, 55, and Nafeesa Bibi, 14, daughter of Rab Nawaz.

Rescue teams provided first aid and shifted the injured women to the Tandlianwala THQ Hospital.

Police officials reached the site after the incident.
