An Additional Sessions Judge sentenced 18 men to seven years in prison after they were found guilty of illegally seizing land.

Each of the accused was also fined Rs100,000, and will have to serve an additional six months in prison if they default.

The case in question dates back to 2023 when the accused, armed with weapons, took possession of land owned by Haji Muhammad Akhtar in the coastal area of Gharobari.
