7,613 cops to oversee polio vaccination drive

A total of 7,613 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the city to provide security during the polio vaccination campaign, which is scheduled to run from October 13 to October 19.

As part of the comprehensive security plan, devised upon instructions from Additional IG Javed Alam Odho, 2,527 personnel will be deployed in the East Zone, 2,732 in the West Zone, and 2,354 in the South Zone.

Deployed officers will be stationed across different areas of the city to ensure the safety of the vaccination teams and workers. Additional IG Odho has directed all zonal officers to personally supervise security arrangements, in order to ensure the maintenance of law and order throughout the course of the campaign.
