Sindh govt condemns Afghan aggression

The Sindh government has condemned the recent border aggression by Afghanistan, lauding Pakistan's forces for their befitting reply in the face of this hostility.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that terrorist attacks from Afghan soil were intolerable, calling for the Afghan leadership to take practical steps against terrorist elements. Shah termed the Afghan aggression a violation of international law, adding that the war against terror was not only Pakistan's responsibility but a shared one. The CM stressed that Afghanistan's provocations stand as a threat to regional peace, which he said could only be achieved through mutual respect and responsible behavior.

Meanwhile, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori said that Pakistan's cautious but clear response sends a message and lesson to Afghanistan. The governor asserted that Pakistan will demonstrate its "mountain-like" resolve to defend its territory, shattering any illusions that the Taliban harbour. Here, Tessori called for Afghanistan to not forget that the Pakistan Armed Forces had brought nuclear-powered India to its knees in only a few hours.

Similar to Shah and Tessori, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon condemned Afghanistan's hostility and paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for responding to the aggressor with courage, skill, and determination.

Terming the attack on Pakistan's borders an attack on national dignity and sovereignty, Sharjeel appreciated the uniformed forces for once again proving that Pakistan has the capability to give fitting response to any act of aggression. He expressed that the entire nation stands united behind the forces, who he deemed guarantors of Pakistan's honour, pride, and security.
