New details emerge in Sia and Dan Bernad’s ongoing divorce case

Sia’s divorce from her husband, Dan Bernad, has entered a new phase with financial disputes emerging.

According to new court filings, Bernad is asking for a substantial monthly payment from the pop star to sustain the lifestyle they shared during their marriage.

Bernad, a former radiation oncologist, says he left his medical career after marrying Sia in 2022, claiming the singer encouraged him to step away from his demanding hospital schedule.

The couple, who share a 17-month-old child named Somersault, reportedly opened a ketamine clinic together in Los Angeles before separating earlier this year.

In his filing, Bernad says he is now financially dependent on Sia and unable to return to medicine, as his license has expired.

He’s asking the court to grant him $250,856 in monthly spousal support and additional funds for legal fees, arguing that he needs help maintaining what he describes as their “upper-class lifestyle.”

Court documents also reference the couple’s luxurious spending habits, including private jets, fine dining, and household staff, expenses Bernad says reflected their “financial status quo.”

Sia filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. Her representatives have not commented on Bernad’s latest claims.
