Kylie Kelce has officially joined the conversation about Taylor Swift’s most talked-about song, “Wood,” from The Life of a Showgirl.
The Philadelphia Eagles star’s wife didn’t hold back her cheeky reaction while discussing the track inspired by her brother-in-law, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
During the Oct. 9 episode of the Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie shared that “Wood” is among her favorite songs from Swift’s new album — but admitted it might be a little too detailed. “My favorites are definitely ‘Wi$h Li$t,’ ‘Opalite,’ and, who are we kidding, ‘Wood,’” she said, laughing. “Do I need that much detail about my brother-in-law? Probably not. But also, good job, Trav!”

Fans have been buzzing over “Wood” since its release, calling it Taylor’s most risqué song yet. The lyrics include vivid metaphors comparing Travis to a “Redwood tree” and celebrating their romance with tongue-in-cheek humor.
Travis, who recently got engaged to Taylor, has remained coy about the song’s meaning. When his brother Jason teased him about the track on their New Heights podcast, Travis simply said, “I love that girl,” avoiding the more graphic references.
Meanwhile, Taylor recently told Jimmy Fallon that “Wood” began as an innocent idea before evolving into one of her favorite songs on the record. “I don’t know how we got here,” she said. “But I love the song so much.”
With Kylie’s playful approval and Swifties dissecting every lyric, “Wood” has quickly become one of the standout moments from The Life of a Showgirl.
