Drug trafficking suspect acquitted

An Anti-Narcotics Court on Thursday acquitted an accused in a narcotics case (No. 20/23) registered at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Police Station, Rawalpindi.

Judge Dr Abida Sajjad announced the verdict after hearing arguments on the acquittal plea filed by the accused, Ghazigul.

Advocate Danish Akbar Khan appeared on behalf of the accused and contended that his client had been arrested merely on suspicion. He argued that no credible evidence linked Ghazigul to the alleged narcotics.
