NFL star Travis Kelce recently confessed that he’s “terrified” of letting his father, Ed Kelce, listen to fiancée Taylor Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

During a candid discussion on the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end opened up about the awkwardness surrounding one of Swift’s more intimate songs, “Wood.”

Travis explained that while he and Jason have enjoyed listening to the album, he’s hesitant to play it for their dad due to its romantic lyrics. “I don’t know, I’m terrible,” Travis admitted, laughing nervously as Jason teased him about recording their dad’s reaction. “I would love that,” Jason joked. “Even if we don’t film it, I’m just going to make him listen to it.”

The NFL star also took a moment to praise Taylor’s relentless work ethic, recalling how she worked on the album during her Eras Tour in Europe. “Her finally getting that 12th song and saying, ‘I think it’s done,’ was such a proud moment,” he said. “She and her team worked their a**es off to make this one of the biggest releases of all time.”

Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl has dominated charts since its release, sparking fan theories about which tracks were inspired by her relationship with Kelce. The couple’s dynamic continues to captivate both Swifties and NFL fans alike, merging the worlds of pop music and football like never before.
