Andrew Garfield has kept quiet about his rumored return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he’s shown clear appreciation for another corner of the multiverse, the Spider-Verse films.
In a recent interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Garfield was asked if he would appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, the upcoming Russo Brothers, directed film set to conclude Marvel’s Multiverse Saga.
Laughing off the question, he replied, “You’ll find out! Whatever response I’m having—is it exasperation? Is it? I don’t know. You’ll find out.”
While avoiding confirmation about his live-action future, Garfield praised Sony’s Spider-Verse series, saying, “I really love the Spider-Verse movies. I love Lord and Miller. Just putting that out there.”
His Amazing Spider-Man version briefly appeared via archival footage in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), leading fans to wonder if he could feature more prominently in the upcoming sequel, Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Garfield also mentioned actors he’d like to work with, naming Hugh Jackman and Tom Hardy. “Tom Hardy is obviously a really formidable actor, and what he’s done with Venom is super fun,” he said.
Although Garfield did not confirm any upcoming appearances, his remarks suggest he remains open to exploring different versions of Spider-Man within the expanding multiverse.
