Pakistan's education research landscape expand

The Data and Research in Education — Research Consortium (DARE-RC) hosted the third edition of its webinar series 'Building Communities of Practice in Education', bringing together Pakistani and international education researchers to share critical research findings and strategies for improving Pakistan's education system.

During the webinar, the speakers shared reflections on the changing landscape of education research during the last decade — from emerging priorities to regional dynamics, and its potential to inform inclusive and forward-looking policy. This topic provides insight into patterns of authorship and collaboration, emphasising how diverse perspectives contribute to advancing the field.

In discussion with Senior Research Manager at DARE-RC Dr Sahar Shah, Prof. Pauline Rose and Dr Laraib Niaz highlighted that the main purpose of mapping education research in Pakistan has been to increase the visibility of education research outputs by Pakistan-based scholars and institutions.
