Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of The View, has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Justin Griffin.

The couple shared the news on the ABC daytime show on October 8, following an exclusive interview and maternity shoot with PEOPLE. Their baby boy is due in February 2026.

Griffin, 36, revealed the pregnancy comes after two years of trying and five rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF). “They say anything worth doing is hard,” she told PEOPLE, reflecting on the emotional and physical challenges of the fertility process. The couple began trying to conceive a year after marrying in November 2021.

During her fertility journey, Griffin was diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition that can affect the ability to conceive. Despite the diagnosis and the toll of multiple IVF rounds, she credited Justin for being a constant source of support. “He was right there with me — early appointments, the emotional roller coaster — I couldn’t have done it without him,” she said.

Justin, 37, expressed his excitement at becoming a father and described the pregnancy as feeling increasingly real. “The time is flying,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to be a dad.”

The couple also praised their fertility doctor, Dr. Taraneh Nazem of RMA New York, for her support and reassurance during the process. “She told us from the beginning, ‘You’re going to have a child — it just might take a few rounds,’” Alyssa recalled.

Griffin said she is thrilled to become a “boy mom” and looks forward to building a family with Justin. The couple, who both have experience helping raise nieces and nephews, say they feel as ready as possible for parenthood. “The struggles feel behind us now,” Alyssa added. “We’re just so excited for everything ahead.”
