Amelia Dimoldenberg is trading chicken shops for the fast lane. After celebrating ten years of her hit interview series Chicken Shop Date, the host has announced her brand new project: a Formula 1 collaboration titled Passenger Princess.

The four-part weekly YouTube series, produced by Dimz Inc. in partnership with Formula 1, launches October 15 and will feature Dimoldenberg learning how to drive with the help of some of the sport’s biggest names. Among the drivers confirmed to appear are George Russell, Ollie Bearman, Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz.

Filmed during the Belgian Grand Prix earlier this year, the series promises a mix of her signature awkward-comedy interviewing style with the high-speed world of F1. Each episode will see her join a different driver, blending candid conversation with lessons behind the wheel. As Dimoldenberg herself admitted: while she doesn’t yet know how to drive, she’s more than ready to put her “well-established passenger and interviewing skills to good use.”

Formula 1 executives have called the partnership a perfect way to connect with the sport’s rapidly growing younger audience. The Netflix series Drive to Survive has already helped F1 explode in popularity worldwide, and the recent Brad Pitt film F1: The Movie further boosted global attention. According to Formula 1 data, 43% of fans are under 35 and 42% are women, aligning closely with Dimoldenberg’s own following.

Ian Holmes, F1’s chief media rights and broadcasting officer, said they are excited to put Amelia “in the driving seat” and bring her unique humour to the world of racing. Chief commercial officer Emily Prazer added that the partnership marks an important step in F1’s strategy to engage with new fans across digital platforms.

Dimoldenberg has already expanded her presence beyond Chicken Shop Date, producing projects with Nike, the Lionesses and Football Beyond Borders, along with red carpet interviews that regularly go viral. With Passenger Princess, she is now steering her career into the fast-paced world of motorsport, though with a comedic twist only she could deliver.

The series premieres on YouTube October 15, promising plenty of laughs, celebrity racers and maybe even a driving licence for Amelia Dimoldenberg.
