Kendall Jenner has unexpectedly become the name on everyone’s lips in the latest round of Bond girl speculation. The 29-year-old model and reality star is reportedly the current frontrunner with bookmakers to take on the coveted role in the upcoming James Bond reboot, a franchise shake-up that has already fuelled years of industry chatter.

According to Coral, Jenner’s odds to star opposite the next 007 have dramatically shortened to 1/2, making her the favourite after a surge of betting in her favour. A spokesperson for the company confirmed she had “jumped to the top of our next Bond girl betting following strong support over the last few days,” adding that she is now odds-on to be involved in the film.

Other bookmakers paint a slightly different picture. Paddy Power currently lists Sydney Sweeney as their top contender at 2/1, with Florence Pugh and Ariana Grande also ranking ahead of Jenner. Their odds place Jenner in fourth at 8/1, but her name continues to trend globally across fan forums and entertainment news outlets.

The possibility of Jenner stepping into the Bond universe has divided opinion. While she is one of the most recognisable faces in fashion and reality TV thanks to her work with brands like Gucci and her role on The Kardashians, her acting experience is limited. Her few credits include a cameo on Hawaii Five-0 in 2012 and appearances as herself in films like Ocean’s 8. Critics have questioned whether her star power alone is enough to carry such an iconic role.

However, Jenner wouldn’t be the first model to transition into Bond girl territory. Ursula Andress, who became a cultural icon after Dr. No in 1962, and Olga Kurylenko, who starred in Quantum of Solace in 2008, both began their careers on the runway before breaking into film through 007.

Speculation over who will play Bond himself continues to rage on, with names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton and Callum Turner being floated, though director Denis Villeneuve has suggested the next 007 will likely be a relatively unknown British actor.

For now, the conversation has shifted firmly onto Jenner, whose rise in the betting markets has added a surprising twist to the casting saga. Whether she truly makes the leap from supermodel to secret agent remains to be seen, but the odds suggest Hollywood may be ready to gamble on her.
