Man's arrest ordered on father's complaint

District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah on Tuesday ordered the arrest of a man accused of assaulting his elderly father. According to a police spokesperson, the arrest was made during an open court session held at the DPO office.

Acting on a complaint from the elderly citizen, the DPO directed police officials to immediately take into custody the complainant's son, who had allegedly subjected him to violence. "The honour and respect of senior citizens will be safeguarded at all cost," the DPO emphasised, adding that the department would continue efforts to reform misguided youth.

In another case, a woman filed a complaint of abduction. On reviewing the initial investigation, DPO Shah found the circumstances suspicious and summoned the investigating officer to his office along with the case file.
