Kidnapped Haripur man found dead

The body of a Haripur resident who had been abducted 25 days ago has been recovered from the Sukkur Barrage, police confirmed on Tuesday.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Masood, was allegedly lured into a honey trap and kidnapped by bandits from the Kacha area, who later demanded a ransom of Rs10 million for his release.

Family sources said they had reportedly paid Rs2.5 million, along with two mobile phones and a motorcycle, in an attempt to secure his freedom. Masood had left home claiming he was travelling to Rawalpindi, but never returned.
