Fans have begun speculating about a possible connection between actor Joe Alwyn and Euphoria star Hunter Schafer after the pair were photographed together and engaged in friendly social media exchanges.
The discussion began when a post on X playfully suggested the two would make a great couple, noting that Alwyn had liked one of Schafer’s Instagram photos.
The image in question showed Schafer preparing for a Met Gala afterparty in a beige satin corset, which drew comparisons from fans to Alwyn’s former partner, Taylor Swift. “Can I start a rumour,” the original post read, before including a picture of Alwyn and Schafer smiling on the red carpet at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Both actors appeared in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2024 black comedy Kinds of Kindness, though they did not share scenes. Despite their limited screen time together, their friendly dynamic during promotional events at Cannes caught public attention.
Schafer has previously been open about her relationships, including a brief romance with Euphoria co-star Dominic Fike and confirmation that she dated Spanish singer Rosalía in 2019. Alwyn was in a long-term relationship with Taylor Swift from 2016 to 2023, during which time he co-wrote several songs under the pseudonym William Bowery.
While neither Alwyn nor Schafer has commented on the fan speculation, social media continues to buzz with admiration for their on-screen elegance and off-screen rapport, with many agreeing they “just look good together.”
