Floating restaurant at Hiran Minar ready
A floating-jetty restaurant has been opened at the tourist spot of Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura.
Provincial Tourism Secretary Dr Ehsan Bhutta announced that the project had been completed in collaboration with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP).
He stated that a mini-zoo was also being established at the tourist spot with the support of the wildlife department, where about 30 deer and wild sheep would be relocated from Changa Manga.
In addition, 15 bicycles and electric golf carts have been provided for a three-kilometre forest ride within the complex.
Dr Bhutta said a double-decker tourist bus service connecting the shrine of Waris Shah with Hiran Minar had been finalised. The historic Bohli of Jandiala Sher Khan and the Sheikhupura Fort will be added to the route later.
Live performances of the Heer at the shrine and folk music events by local artists at Hiran Minar will also be organised in collaboration with the Sheikhupura Arts Council.
