The spokesperson for the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has stated that security has already been provided to Awami National Party (ANP) chief Aimal Wali Khan, and his continuous complaints and sarcastic remarks indicate that his aim is political point scoring rather than genuine security concerns.
In an official statement issued on Monday, the spokesperson said that facts should not be distorted. "Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur personally contacted Aimal Wali regarding his security. The Regional Police Officer (RPO) and District Police Officer (DPO) also asked him to provide a list of personnel he trusted for his security detail, but he did not share any such list," the statement added.
The spokesperson further remarked that raising objections or mocking the arrangements at this stage is both unfair and malicious. "It makes no difference whether the security personnel are deployed from the police lines or a local police station, the key point is that Aimal Wali Khan's protection has been ensured."
He clarified that since Aimal Wali Khan is elected as a senator from Balochistan, the constitutional responsibility for his security primarily lies with the Balochistan government and federal institutions.
"By turning this matter into a political controversy, Aimal Wali Khan is attempting to mislead the public and gain political mileage," the spokesperson concluded.
