ABBOTTABAD:

Four members of the same family were killed and four others sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident triggered by a property dispute in the Matthal area of Qalandarabad on Sunday. The assailants fled the scene following the attack.

According to initial reports, Abdul Hameed, son of Younas and a resident of Soteriyan, had gone to Matthal with his nephew to offer Fateha (prayers for the deceased) at the home of a close relative, where other family members had also gathered.

During the visit, an exchange of words erupted into a heated altercation, which swiftly escalated into indiscriminate gunfire between the two groups.

The shooting left Asnan alias Abdullah, son of Sulaiman Bakhsh, as well as Chanzeb, Rafaqat, and Nawaz, sons of Anwar, dead at the scene. Sadaqat, Sulaiman Bakhsh, and two others were critically wounded.

The injured were taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed the deaths of four individuals. Upon receiving information, Mansehra Saddar Police and the DSP reached the scene and launched an investigation.
