Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly struggling with his friendship with Bradley Cooper after Cooper’s romance with Gigi Hadid, who previously dated DiCaprio.
Sources claim the once-close Hollywood pals have grown distant since Cooper and Hadid’s relationship began, creating what insiders call a “mega awkward dynamic.”
According to RadarOnline, DiCaprio believes Hadid’s involvement has strained his long-standing friendship with Cooper. “Gigi fell hard for Leo back when they hooked up, but he wanted to play the field, so things fizzled out,” a source said. “There was a lot of resentment from Gigi and her friends toward Leo, and now Bradley’s dating her — it’s complicated.”
Hadid and DiCaprio were linked between September 2022 and mid-2023 before she began seeing Cooper later that year. The Hangover actor and the supermodel have reportedly grown close over shared experiences as single parents. Cooper, 50, shares daughter Lea with ex Irina Shayk, while Hadid, 30, co-parents her daughter Khai with singer Zayn Malik.
Insiders claim DiCaprio misses his “bromance” with Cooper and feels left out as the new couple prioritizes their relationship. “Leo loved him like a brother and misses him like crazy,” one source said. “He’s sulking that Bradley broke the bro code and doesn’t understand what he sees in Gigi.”
Meanwhile, Cooper and Hadid’s romance appears strong, with sources saying they’ve “made their relationship a priority” despite busy careers and family obligations. As their bond deepens, DiCaprio may have to accept that his friendship with Cooper has permanently changed.
