Megabonk has reached a major milestone just two weeks after its release, officially surpassing one million copies sold.

The indie action game, which has drawn comparisons to Vampire Survivors for its fast-paced gameplay, was launched in September 2025 and has quickly gained momentum with players.

The game’s developer confirmed the sales achievement in a light-hearted post on X, writing: “One million Megabonk copies sold in 2 weeks, thank you guys!! I’ll be eating spaghetti with extra sauce tonight.”

Megabonk’s early success places it among this year’s most notable indie gaming stories. While it has not quite matched the rapid sales trajectory of other breakout hits such as Schedule 1, which achieved one million sales even faster, or Peak, which reached the milestone in just eight days, the accomplishment remains significant for a small-scale project.

The title has resonated with players through its mix of chaotic action, eccentric characters and a gameplay loop designed to encourage repeated runs.

References to memorable in-game bosses such as “Megachad” have already become part of the game’s growing online presence, with players sharing their experiences across social media and streaming platforms.

Alongside its sales figures, Megabonk has also seen strong player engagement. More than 88,000 players have reportedly attempted multiple runs since launch, with many returning repeatedly for what they describe as “just one more run.”

The game’s peak player numbers continue to rise, with the most recent peak recorded on October 2, suggesting momentum is far from slowing down.

If its growth continues, analysts expect Megabonk could cross further sales milestones in the near future.
