Taylor Swift has shared new details about her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, revealing that he selected her ring with remarkable attention to detail. Speaking on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast with hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston on Friday, October 3, the pop icon explained how Kelce remembered a jeweler she had casually mentioned nearly two years before his proposal.

“I had shown him a video of her stuff I just thought her stuff was so cool (..) a year and a half ago— when I saw that I was like, ‘I know who made that’ you listen to me! I didnt know what I’d want but he did”.

She recalled her excitement upon seeing the finished piece: “I know who made this… and also, you listen to me!” Swift added that she hadn’t known what style she wanted herself, but Kelce seemed to understand, describing his choice as “kind of a flex.”
The couple announced their engagement on August 26 via Instagram with photos of a floral-themed proposal, captioned: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Both 35 years old, Swift and Kelce have been public about their relationship since 2023, with Kelce frequently referenced in Swift’s newly released 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. Songs such as “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Opalite” are believed to include nods to her fiancé, with the latter referencing Kelce’s October birthstone.
During the radio interview, Swift also admitted she has yet to plan her bachelorette party, noting that her friends’ busy schedules and global locations make it difficult. “You would think I had been the type of person who obsessed over weddings,” she said, “but I actually never thought about it until I met the person.”
