By-polls on three Punjab Assembly seats on Nov 23

The ECP on Thursday announced that polling for three vacant seats in the Punjab Assembly — PP-115 and PP-116 (Faisalabad) and PP-269 (Muzaffargarh) — will be held on November 23.

The seats fell vacant following the disqualification of Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) Shahid Javed and Muhammad Ismael.

According to the official schedule, the returning officers will issue public notices on Oct 10. Candidates may submit their nomination papers from Oct 13 to 15, with the initial list of candidates being published on Oct 16.
