Former stylist Deonte Nash is speaking publicly about his decade-long experience working for Sean “Diddy” Combs, describing it as a period marked by fear and abuse.
Nash, who filed a lawsuit against the music mogul last week, sat down with CBS Mornings in an interview set to air Friday, where he detailed the alleged mistreatment he endured from 2008 to 2018.
According to Nash, Diddy strangled him multiple times during their working relationship and openly threatened his staff, claiming he could kill them without consequence. Nash said the environment was so unpredictable and dangerous that he always kept a “go-bag” packed with clothing and cash, ready to disappear at any moment.
He told CBS that the toxic behavior was normalized within Combs’ circle, making it nearly impossible to seek help. “Who exactly were we gonna tell? Who we gonna call, Ghostbusters? There was no one there to save us,” Nash recalled.
Nash’s civil lawsuit accuses Diddy of sexual battery, human trafficking, and other serious charges. The suit seeks both compensatory and punitive damages, with Nash demanding a jury trial. His claims add to the growing legal troubles facing Combs, who has already been embroiled in multiple lawsuits and a high-profile federal criminal trial.
Notably, during that federal trial in New York earlier this year, Nash testified under oath but denied plans to pursue civil action at the time, stating he was focused solely on “getting out of here.” Now, his lawsuit and interview mark a significant escalation in the ongoing scandal surrounding the hip hop icon.
