Icelandic musician Laufey brought her A Matter of Time tour to Los Angeles on September 26 and 27, performing two sold-out shows at Crypto.com Arena.

The Grammy-winning artist, whose full name is Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir, structured the performance into four acts with an encore, using different stage designs to frame each section.

She told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the tour that the album A Matter of Time explores self-discovery through love, describing it as “the overthinker’s guide to love.”

One of the night’s central moments came with “Sabotage,” the final track before the encore. Laufey explained that its mix of melodic piano and distorted noise represents the contrast between her outward appearance and inner anxiety.

Special guests featured across the two Los Angeles dates. On the first night, Hozier joined Laufey to perform “Magnolia,” earning a strong response from the audience. The following evening, rising girl group Katseye appeared onstage, performing their track “Gabriela” with her.

Another highlight came during the fourth act, when Laufey performed her 2023 single “Goddess.” Accompanied by dramatic lighting and piano, the performance served as the emotional peak of the show.

Laufey also incorporated a jazz club-inspired setting into the second act, reflecting her fusion of jazz and pop within a large arena format.

With its theatrical staging, guest collaborations, and exploration of personal themes, the A Matter of Time tour offered audiences in Los Angeles a multifaceted experience that reflected Laufey’s evolving artistry.
