Selena Gomez reportedly required a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot with Benny Blanco, according to a new report. The couple, who wed on September 27, 2025, shared images from their wedding day on social media, drawing attention from fans worldwide.
Entertainment journalist Rob Shuter reported that Gomez wanted to ensure her financial assets were safeguarded prior to marriage. Citing insider sources, the outlet noted that the singer and entrepreneur insisted on the agreement to protect her extensive business portfolio, which includes her music catalog, real estate holdings, and Rare Beauty, her billion-dollar cosmetics brand.
“This wasn’t optional,” a source close to the couple told Shuter. “Selena built everything from the ground up. The prenup was about respect, not suspicion.”
According to the report, Blanco, whose own net worth is estimated at more than $50 million, did not object to the arrangement. “He was fully on board. He loves her, and he respects what she’s achieved. There was zero drama,” another insider explained.
The pair became engaged in December 2024, a year after confirming their relationship. Their wedding, described as a “fairytale” celebration, featured Gomez in a custom Ralph Lauren halter-neck gown adorned with floral embroidery, while Blanco wore a black tuxedo by the same designer.
Gomez marked the occasion with an Instagram post captioned “? 9.27.25 ?” alongside a series of polaroid-style photos showcasing intimate moments from the ceremony. Blanco also shared a collection of images, including a mirror selfie with his bride and close-up shots of their wedding bands, captioning the post: “i married a real life disney princess.”
