Inmate Re-Captured After Escape from Civil Hospital in Hyderabad

A prisoner receiving treatment at the judicial ward of Civil Hospital Hyderabad escaped after deceiving the security guards, but police re-arrested him within a few hours.

Haris Niazi, an inmate of Hyd Central Jail, was admitted to the orthopedic ward for medical treatment. On Thursday, taking advantage of the negligence of jail staff, he walked out of the ward and fled the hospital by boarding a rickshaw. Following the incident, Market Police detained the rickshaw driver, who disclosed that he had dropped the fugitive in Jamshoro. Acting on this information, police traced and arrested Haris Niazi from his residence in Jamshoro.
