Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from husband Keith Urban, ending their nearly two-decade-long marriage. The couple, married in 2006, share two children, ages 17 and 14.
According to the divorce documents, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” and requested to remain the primary residential parent of their children.
Both she and Urban waived spousal and child support, though the papers note that Urban has prepaid child support obligations. Each will retain their own assets, suggesting a prenuptial agreement is in place.
The legal filings include a Marital Dissolution Agreement, a parenting plan, a child support worksheet, and a Parenting Seminar Order.
The parenting plan states the children will spend 306 days with Kidman and 59 days with Urban each year, with all major decisions regarding education and healthcare to be made jointly. The documents were notarized in late August and early September 2025.
Sources told TMZ that the couple separated in June 2025. While Kidman reportedly hoped to save the marriage, Urban did not, and insiders believe he may have moved on with another woman.
The divorce filing marks a definitive end to the marriage after months of living apart, with Kidman overseeing family responsibilities during the separation.
