Two murder convicts sentenced
Sessions courts have sentenced two convicts to life imprisonment on top of 20 years in prison and a fine of Rs1.4 million for robbing a medicine company and killing the security guard at the facility. Additionally, five drug smugglers were sentenced to a total of 45 years in prison and a fine of Rs4 million. The convicts were transferred to Adiala Jail.
Taxila Additional District and Sessions Judge pronounced the verdict in the case of a robbery at a medicine company and the killing of the security guard posted there. Convict Ishaq was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs5 million for murder, ten years in prison and an additional fine of Rs2 million for robbery. Convict Waqas was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs5 million for murder, ten years in prison and a fine of Rs2 million for robbery. The case had been registered in Saddar police station in April 2024.
In the drug smuggling cases, the convict Ishan Ali was sentenced to nine years in prison and a fine of Rs80,000.
