Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have reignited their long-running rivalry with a string of sharp exchanges on Twitter, turning their ongoing tension into a public spectacle as both prepare for major releases.

Minaj, who is gearing up for her 2026 album, directed her focus at both Cardi B and Jay-Z.

In a series of tweets, she mocked Cardi’s chart performance and referenced Roc Nation, accusing industry figures of betrayal.

One post read.  “Never provoke a writer while they’re working… you joined the game as a willing participant. Don’t try to back out now.”

She also ridiculed Cardi with mocking rhymes, calling her "Barney B" and repeatedly using “Abcdefgeeee” to punctuate lines aimed at her rival’s career and personal life.

Cardi B wasted no time responding, labelling Minaj “Cocaine Barbie” and claiming she had the power to make others “come out of rehab everytime.”

She continued, “You must’ve missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet.” In another tweet, Cardi criticised Minaj for bringing up her pregnancy, writing, “Alright now this the third tweet talkin about my pregnancy… like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs.”

Beyond personal insults, Cardi argued that Minaj should be comparing herself to peers like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake, instead of competing with her.

This latest exchange follows Minaj’s earlier criticism of Cardi’s chart position for her album Am I The Drama?, which was praised by fans and critics despite strong competition. With both artists in the midst of new projects, their feud has once again placed them at the centre of hip hop’s cultural conversation.
