Dolly Parton delays Las Vegas residency amid health update

Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her upcoming Las Vegas residency, originally scheduled for December at Caesars Palace, citing health-related concerns.

In a statement shared on social media, the country music legend explained that doctors have advised her to undergo “a few procedures,” making it difficult for her to properly rehearse and prepare for the shows.

The new dates for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas have been rescheduled to September 2026.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton wrote.

She added that while she joked with her doctors about needing a “100,000-mile check-up,” the decision was made so she could deliver the best performance possible.

The 78-year-old also reassured fans she has no plans to retire: “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

The residency, announced in June, was set for Dec. 4–13, 2025, and would have marked Parton’s first major concert series since her 2016 Pure & Simple tour.
