Kanye West betrayal list names North West and LeBron James sparking family rumors and NBA controversy

Kanye West has stirred controversy once again after posting, and later deleting, a so-called “betrayal list” on social media. The rapper, who has a history of airing grievances online, claimed the individuals on the list had caused him pain “that no one person can fix,” according to Arise.

Among the most surprising names were his 12-year-old daughter, North West, and NBA star LeBron James. Despite maintaining a public bond with North—she has appeared alongside West and his wife Bianca Censori during outings and even featured in his “TALKING” music video—rumors suggest father and daughter have disagreed over her fashion choices, according to Rappers Group/Facebook. Reports claim this clash may have driven a wedge between them.

LeBron James’ inclusion has also raised eyebrows. While the two men have no known history of direct conflict, West has previously mentioned the athlete in his lyrics and interviews. In his 2016 track FACTS, he criticized Nike with the line, “Nike treat employees just like slaves./Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away” (Sports Illustrated). West has also argued that powerful figures can “control” James, unlike himself. These comments resurfaced after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest in 2024.

The list also included Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, Pusha T, Donald Trump, and even fictional characters such as Curious George and Patrick Star. Some observers called the post alarming, while others dismissed it as satirical.

This is not the first time West has circulated such names. Earlier in March, he shared another list naming former collaborators, family members, brands like Adidas and Balenciaga, and entire groups, according to The Cable Lifestyle.

West’s former wife Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, appeared to shade him in recent interviews, joking about her past partners and reflecting that she no longer relies on others’ opinions when making decisions.
