'Trump assured Gaza won't be swallowed'

Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said the first outcome of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir's meeting with the US President Donald Trump was his assurance that Israel would not be allowed to "swallow" Gaza.

He made these remarks while addressing a news conference at Jamia Masjid Mubarak in Model Town, Lahore on Sunday.

Ashrafi said the Muslim Ummah stood united on the issue of Palestine and welcomed Pakistan's diplomatic efforts at the international level.

He said the meeting between COAS Asim Munir and Donald Trump, was an important diplomatic achievement.
