Couple slain over tribal strife

A tribal clash between Bangwar and Muhammadani communities in Kashmore-Kandhkot claimed two more lives of a couple on Sunday, taking the tally to nine killings.
Police reported that armed men sprayed bullets on Gohram Bangwar and his wife Peerani when they were heading back to their village on a motorbike. Gohram died on the spot while Peerani breathed her last in the hospital. The assailants escaped after the shooting.
The postmortem of the dead bodies was performed at taluka hospital Kandhkot. Police are yet to register an FIR or make any arrests. The fight between Bangwars and Muhammadanis had started over a marital dispute.
