Man killed, father hurt in shooting

A young man was killed, while his father suffered injuries, after their close relatives opened fire following a long-standing family dispute in the Mandrah police jurisdiction on late Friday. Police reported that the victims, Faisal and his father Javed, had been embroiled in a feud with their relatives, including Zaibi and Shamir.

The two men encountered the accused in the area, where an exchange of gunfire ensued. Both sustained serious injuries; Faisal later died of his wounds, while Javed was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the report, Mandrah SHO and other police officials arrived at the scene, gathered evidence, and launched an inquiry. The city police chief took notice of the incident and directed the Gujar Khan circle ASP and the SHO to ensure the swift arrest of those involved.
