Over 25,000 teachers apply for transfers
In the ongoing process of teachers' transfers, a total of 25,235 applications have been submitted across all categories in Punjab, including Rawalpindi.
These include 10,546 applications from male teachers and 14,693 from female teachers.
Compared to men, more women have applied for transfers, with many requesting postings closer to their homes, particularly from remote areas.
Under the open merit category, a total of 23,629 applications have been received, including 9,659 from male teachers and 13,970 from female teachers, once again showing women in greater numbers.
Under promotion-based transfers, 326 applications have been submitted, of which 193 are from men and 133 from women.
For pending appointments, the department has received 120 requests, including 56 from male and 64 from female teachers.
Meanwhile, in the category of mutual transfers, a total of 538 incomplete applications have been recorded - 284 from men and 254 from women.
