Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x PlayStation Superdrop launches October with iconic crossovers
Wizards of the Coast has announced a new Secret Lair x PlayStation Superdrop, bringing several of Sony’s most recognisable franchises into Magic: The Gathering.
The collaboration was revealed at MagicCon: Atlanta and launches on October 27 2025 at 9am PT (5pm BST) on MagicSecretLair.com, with foil and non-foil versions available in limited quantities.
The Superdrop features seven Secret Lair packs, each adapting PlayStation titles into Magic cards with original artwork and mechanics. The collaboration includes The Last of Us Part I and Part II, Uncharted, God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ghost of Tsushima.
Naughty Dog’s contribution introduces Joel, Ellie, and Abby, with cards designed to reflect their struggles for survival. The Uncharted pack showcases Nathan Drake as a legendary rogue whose abilities mirror his treasure-hunting exploits.
Santa Monica Studio’s God of War packs feature Kratos across two timelines: the Greek era, represented as a relentless warrior, and the Norse era, where he appears alongside his son Atreus. Guerrilla’s Horizon Forbidden West highlights Aloy, designed around her connection to technology and Old World artefacts.
Sucker Punch Productions presents Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, with card mechanics that capture his dual role as honourable samurai and stealthy assassin.
According to PlayStation Studios, the teams worked closely with Wizards of the Coast to ensure the mechanics and art captured the essence of each franchise.
Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog, Cory Barlog of Santa Monica Studio, and other developers expressed enthusiasm for the crossover, noting the collaborative process with the Magic design team.
The Secret Lair x PlayStation Superdrop will also see non-foil editions released later through Wizards Play Network stores.
Wizards confirmed that these cards will be legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage formats, with certain reprints playable in additional formats where applicable.
