Prince Harry recently spent 53 minutes in a private meeting with his father, King Charles, marking their first reunion in 19 months.

According to The Sun, the meeting, held on Sept. 10 at Clarence House, was described as “distinctly formal,” with Harry reportedly feeling more like an “official visitor” than a family member.

Still, the Duke of Sussex presented his father with a framed photo of his family, wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

In return, King Charles gave Harry an early 41st birthday gift ahead of his Sept. 15 milestone.

The father and son shared kisses on the cheek and enjoyed tea before Harry departed for an Invictus Games reception.

While The Sun reported that the King’s door remains open for future visits, royal aides noted Charles remains committed to the Sandringham Agreement, which prevents Harry from taking on any “half-in, half-out” role within the monarchy.

Sources close to Harry insisted he has no plans to return to royal duties, emphasizing his focus on patronages, causes, and maintaining family connections.

Reports also dismissed claims that he is attempting to create tension between Charles and Prince William.

The visit also gave Harry the chance to pay his respects at Queen Elizabeth II’s gravesite. Insiders told Us Weekly the reunion included “hugs and tears,” with both father and son showing emotion after nearly two years apart.

Harry later said his father, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, was doing “great.”
