Couple booked for attacking expat woman

Madina Town police booked suspects under PPC sections 506, 354, 427/34 and launched a search

A case has been registered against a couple and another individual on charges of breaking into a house, threatening to kill an overseas Pakistani woman, assaulting her brother and injuring him, and vandalising property.

As per the FIR lodged with the police by Amna Azam, a resident of Eden Valley, she stated that she runs her own business in Dubai. She alleged that the accused – Sheikh Ali alias Sameer and his wife Bisma Sameer, residents of Ghalib City, who are distant relatives – broke into her house on September 19 at around 7:30 pm. While she was not home, her brother was present. The accused damaged household items, breaking a table glass, and physically assaulted and injured her brother.

Amna further claimed that upon her arrival, the accused attacked her as well, pulled out a pistol, placed it on her while she was in her car, and threatened to kill her. She stated that CCTV footage of the incident exists.

She also alleged that three days earlier, the accused had stolen 3,650 dirhams and Rs280,000 in Pakistani currency from her house. When she confronted them about the theft, the accused became enraged, threatened to kill her, and vandalized the property.

The Madina Town police registered a case under sections 506, 354, 427/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and launched a search for the suspects.
