Punjab approves hiring of judges

To alleviate the mounting backlog of cases within the Punjab judiciary, approval has been granted for the recruitment of 200 Additional District and Sessions Judges (ADSJs) and 450 Civil Judges.
The preliminary written examinations for the ADSJs will commence on October 20 and run until October 28. Candidates will be assessed across seven papers, which include Criminal Law I, Criminal Law II, Civil Law I, Civil Law II, English, Urdu, and General Knowledge.
Those who successfully pass the written examinations will be invited to attend interviews.
