New PUBG leak reveals Sonic facing off against huge Skibidi toilet
A CG-rendered trailer for PUBG Mobile’s upcoming update appears to confirm earlier rumors that Sonic the Hedgehog will soon be joining the popular battle royale game’s mobile version. Surprisingly, the trailer also shows Sega’s iconic mascot battling… giant Skibidi Toilets?
On September 24, Sonic Hotspot shared what seems to be an authentic trailer teasing a Sonic crossover event in PUBG Mobile, spotted and reposted by SonicStadium.org on Bluesky. The pre-rendered footage depicts Sonic fighting a massive Skibidi Toilet character. Unfortunately, a YouTube re-upload of the trailer was quickly taken down.
Skibidi Toilets, originating from a wildly popular YouTube animated shorts series, were already announced to be arriving in PUBG Mobile later this month—so their appearance in the leak isn’t shocking. Sonic’s arrival, however, has been rumored for months. Sega’s mascot was even teased last month in an official PUBG Mobile post hinting at six upcoming collaborations. While Sonic’s inclusion was expected, nobody saw him duking it out with a Skibidi Toilet coming.
There’s something oddly depressing about watching Sonic fight a Skibidi Toilet. It feels like a sign of pop culture’s inevitable fusion into one giant, homogenized mess—much like Fortnite’s endless crossover chaos. Since this crossover frenzy generates huge profits, it’s unlikely to slow down anytime soon.
And so, here we are: a world where silly Source Engine videos have grown into a massive IP that even caught Michael Bay’s eye. Sonic, you deserve better—and honestly, so do we all. But for now, this is our reality.
