Man held over rape allegation

 Manga Mandi police arrested a man, for allegedly raping his sister-in-law in the absence of his younger brother after a complaint was lodged by the victim.

According to a police spokesperson, the accused, identified as Maqsood Ahmed, a resident of Manga Mandi, allegedly entered his brother's house and subjected the victim to sexual assault.

Acting on the complaint, the Manga Mandi police traced the suspect in Shamke Bhattian and arrested him.

The police registered a case against the suspect under relevant sections of the law.

The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Gender Crimw Cell for investigation and legal proceedings. The police said the victim had been married to the suspect's brother for two years.
